Maxine Masterfield
In college I discovered a book on experimental watercolor called In Harmony with Nature, by Maxine Masterfield. Her book taught me the many techniques I still use today. In 1998, I took her yearly watermedia workshop in Traverse City, Michigan. She is an outstanding artist, teacher and friend.

Tips for saving energy

Biodiesel Now
This group promotes the use of biodiesel - a clean, non-toxic and renewable, vegetable oil-based fuel that runs in diesel engines (cars, buses, trucks, construction equipment, boats, generators, and oil home heating units). It's generally made from soy or canola oil, and can also be made from recycled fryer oil. Our former vehicle ran on 20%-70% biodiesel. Please encourage your government to promote the use of cleaner, sustainable, alternative fuels.

Organic Consumers Association
OCA is a non-profit public interest organization which deals with crucial issues of food safety, industrial agriculture, genetic engineering, corporate accountability, and environmental sustainability.
